Logistics Coordinator - Albany NY
Position:
Air Freight & Expedited Booking & Tracking
Air Freight & Expedited Customer Service Representative
Entry Level
Position Will train the right candidate
Purpose:
To meet and exceed customer needs and expectations by ensuring
successful and timely processing of Air Freight & Expedited
Ground transactions.
Ensure successful coordination of Air & Truck shipments on
behalf of our customers in accordance with company standards,
customer requirements and local, state and federal laws.
Qualifications:
Excellent written & oral communication skills
Ability to successfully resolve conflicts & think outside the
box
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to perform/prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
Self-motivated and have the ability to work with minimal
corporate supervision
Proficiency in general office computer skills Email,
Internet, Microsoft Office
Transportation Experience a plus
Responsibilities:
Receive & process Bookings
Shipment entry, tracking & follow up
Coordinate & monitor shipments with Airlines, Ground Carriers,
and Agents
Provide rate quotes to customers
Agent and Carrier database
maintenance
Prepare billing & match
documents
Approve payables and expenses
Airway Bill preparation & processing
Ensure TSA & Federal Aviation Compliance
Compensation:
Salary Range: $30,000 - $35,000 depending on experience.
Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, paid
vacation, holidays & sick time, as well as a retirement program.
