			*About The Shaker Group:* We are an asset based Freight Forwarder in our 22nd year in business. We are a growing company with four offices including our headquarters in Latham, NY. We offer a full menu of services including Domestic Air Freight, Time Definite & Expedited Truckload, Tradeshow Transportation, International Air Import & Export and Ocean Import & Export. Owner Operators Needed · Regional Drivers - Mainly Monday – Friday, within 400 miles of Albany – home most nights and weekends. Some Over-The-Road and overnights required. · Long Haul - OTR - scheduled runs, not usually more than 10 days away from home. · Pull company trailers – none older than 5 years, light, 53’ Utility Dry Vans · Haul general commodities, No HAZMAT *Owner Operator Compensation Guidelines* This is not a contract or offer to work, this is a guideline for compensation and is subject to change at management’s discretion. All drivers have varied responsibilities, and no drivers are guaranteed specific types of work. There is no guarantee of work or pay. Contractors will be paid for work completed based on the parameters below. *Owner Operator (O/O) Responsibilities:* Own and maintain a tractor that meets The Shaker Group’s requirements. Make available for inspection at anytime, at least once per month. Provide bobtail insurance & physical damage coverage for O/O’s tractor Provide a certificate naming The Shaker Group, Inc as a certificate holder and named insured for bobtail liability coverage. Meet Shaker Group’s safety requirements, and abide by all laws governed by USDOT & FMSCA. Obtain & pay for base plates – thru Shaker Group IRP account Responsible for any fines, tickets or penalties that are a result of negligence on the part of the O/O. Any and all taxes related to income/wages Coverage for worker’s compensation or disability insurance if desired O/O must use the Nextel phone provided by Shaker to receive load tenders, provide GPS tracking, and communicate load info and status changes. An escrow account with Shaker used for charge-backs in the amount of $1,500. Shaker will deduct $100 per week from settlements until $1,500 is attained. Review and sign Owner/Operator Lease Agreement with Shaker. *Shaker Group Responsibilities:* Provide Insurance for General Liability & Auto Liability, and all Trailers Allow O/O to operate under Shaker Group MC & USDOT numbers. Maintain and repair all trailers (except where damage was caused by O/O) File & pay IFTA & HUT for O/O tractor - O/O pays the deduction Pay O/O settlement every week, based on paperwork submitted for work completed. Pay any and all Tolls – Provide O/O with EZ pass Provide O/O with Nextel cell phone for tracking, load tender, and capturing load information *Compensation:* Under 150 miles: $1.15 per mile for all miles traveled 151 – 499 miles: $1.05 per mile for all miles traveled Over 500 Miles: $.95 per mile for all miles traveled Fuel Surcharge will be paid according to the attached Fuel Tariff. Detention / Waiting Time will be paid at $35 /hr to O/O whenever The Shaker Group is able to collect from their customer: Normally 2 hrs free time. Stop Charge of $40.00 will paid to O/O for all additional stops Driver Assist Charge will be paid to O/O whenever it is agreed to by Shaker Group and O/O. Driver Assist fees will be paid at 65% of Shaker Group tariff with our customer. Mileage is determined by Shaker Group dispatch software, Prophecy.
